I'm back ...I think.

Do you ever find yourself tucked in at night under your fresh, cool sheets, cosseted by the darkness, and then realise ...damn, who am I? ...didn't think so. But for anyone out there who can understand the power of deep thinking and the confusion of an over-active imagination, then please take comfort in knowing ... you are not alone. I'm laying in bed, squinting at this box-screen mobile phone, and typing away to relieve my brain of its creative pressure before sleep grabs a hold of me. I do not have the effort in me to include colourful pictures or hilarious video footage, so we shall just have to make do with the basics. I apologise in advance if typo's pop-up now and again, but let's face it, who dosen't say 'fuck it' when it comes to writing a blog when you're half dead . This is why I try to remain true to being a writer, as I'm sure many of you will agree, it's theraputic, a method to use when all else fails, when that squishy, bloody, heap of a control point sitting under your skull has been over-worked, we turn to the written word to extract those worries, ideas, emotional thoughts and regrets to have them staring back at us in black and white. To shine a light on what was dark and to provide a refreshing new point of view. All this speaking of brain extracting got me thinking of that scene in Harry Potter 4 (I think), when Dumbledore untangled and removed his whispy, blue line of thought and laid it to rest among others in a bowl of eternal memories ...wouldn't that be useful? Then, after our minds are free from memories (some painful, some wonderful), and relieved from concerns and OCD planning ...might we be able to activate the 80% of our brain, that we don't use? If asylum patients or creative genuises, either go insane or contribute to world revelations by using only 20% of this squishy matter ...what would happen to us if dare use even 99.9% of our brains? Would it explode? Would it start to dribble out our eyes and make a great escape for a simpler individual? What if ... we are capable of using our entire brains? And we've just been programmed, or controlled to use considerably less to prevent us tapping into the imaginitive, spiritually, powerful beings that we are. I truly believe that if I were to write about everything I've ever thought of, it would surpass the about of books in my bedroom library. Or the amount of times I randomly change subject might be giving those of you who are reading whiplash. This is why it is better, sometimes, to come into a blog with a strong indication of one topic, and stick to it. When you know I'm writing out of the blue, especially at night ...just ...brace yourselves, ok Bloggers? Maybe someday I shall write about my adventures, both inside and out of my head. When the wounds start to heal and the tears proceed to dry, things will be easier to let go of. I'll let you decide. If followers start appearing, then I shall become your storyteller, but if not ...then I trust in you to keep it to myself. Goodnight Blogger, thank you for your assistance. And to whoever is reading this, I may not know you, but thank you for reading.

World Cup 2010!

World Cup fever has taken us by storm!...Well, me at least :p. Being a faithful and patriotic supporter of Scotland, I have been defeated and frustrated, like many other Scots, that we are not part of the World Cup...or have been for the last 12 years lol.

So, yet again, I am forced to stand behind another team, who I feel has the passion, drive and team spirit to dribble all the way to the final and embrace the
gleaming gold of that trophy.

Spain all the way!
In 2006, my chosen team was Italy, and had I bet money on it, I may even own blogger.com by now, or at least own my childhood dream car, the red Ferrari convertible.

I would put my savings behind Spain this year, if I had any to spare, but unfortunately the length of my gambling only stretches miserably to the 10p slot machine.

However, what I do have to support my team, is a hot summers day, my newly bought Spanish shirt, a bottle of Bud and my ex-football coaching father to watch the beautiful game with. To me it's all about the spirit, energy and teamwork that brings the sport alive and sets it on fire!

Regrettably, one thing that really bugs the hell outta me, is the phrase 'Simulation', which is a word most likely been invited in by the English when they didn't want to accuse their so called 'world class' players of god forbid, diving! There is no person in the world dumb enough to be blinded to cheats by this cover-up. It's completely pointless and we all know who you cheaters are!

It always brings a smile to my face when the commentators are about to say 'Simulation!', after a player has been magically tripped by an invisible
man and they fall wildly, feet tumbling overhead with a look of excrusiating agony and despair pouring into their face. They fall fatally to the ground as if they have been caught in the crossfire at BannockBurn. 'And Cole has been given a yellow card, for an act of...simulation!'. I let my head sink into my hands for a few seconds and by the time it has lifted and my eyes are fixed once again upon the lushious pitch...a miracle has occurred. I can see the 'simulation victim' leaping and tap dancing his way down left field, looking fit enough to star in footballs very first Riverdance.
Currently I am celebrating Spain's victory as they sail through into the knock-out stages of the tournament, thanks to quick thinking by David Villa. Unfortunately Fernando Torres looked
close to drained on Friday's match. Should I be worried?? I know I'm concerned about the two injuries that Gerard Piqué has picked up in the last couple of games. Getting sliced in the head
with football studs in the Switz game, and a mouthful of blood playing Honduras is not a good way to go. He's got more injuries in the space of two weeks than most players endure in two years!

Of course, I am mourning England's 4-1 defeat against Germany ... yea right, Go Germans!!!!

I'm also liking the look of Argentina. Lionel Messi is shining bright for me and I think his long desired winning goal is going to crown his uprising in this World Cup.

However the match between Argentina and Mexico tonight has concluded bitter-sweet for me. Prior to the match I had a 'Simon Cowell Moment' where I was involved in an inner battle of choosing between my heart, or my head lol. Argentina showed tremendous skill up front, leaving me routing for an unbeatable double act assault by Gonzalo Higuaín and Lionel Messi. My head was in there favour. However my sympathetic heart was beating for Mexico when they were wrongly held back by an early Argentine goal, that clearly should have been disallowed. The coaches, players and the entire world witnessed the replay, but nooooooo, rules are rules....bollocks! The passion driving them forward had me behind them in the second half of the match, hoping for a footballing duet with Giovani dos Santos and Javier Hernández. My heart went out for them, fighting long and hard for their place in the quarter finals. They have been great competition.

2010 is turning out to be the best year of sport for me and I'm loving it. With the World Cup and Wimbledon merging together, I find it difficult to leave my house if there's not a radio or shop television set upon BBC to accompany me on my journeys.

Summer's looking and feeling damn good!

Ladies & Gentlemen, Welcome...to the Mad House!

'Mad House' - 1. Offensive An institution for the mentally ill.
2. Informal A place of great disorder and confusion.

First of all, this is not a blog created by a seriel killer, or the clinically insane. 'Great disorder & confusion'...hells yeah!-mostly subject to crazy outbursts of 'random-ness' :p.
But seriously, My 'Mad House' comment only demonstrates my current liking (more so loving) for superstar Rihanna :p. So, put your dialing fingers away and put down the receiver ...let the asylum wait for another Joker fanatic ;).

Very quickly, I never intended to become 'Joker Jo', some things just fall into place in life, and they tend to stick. I always loved Robin growing up :p, but then my mind became disillusioned and tainted with death and destruction, and then, out popped 'Joker Jo' :p. My fanatic side tends so favour the late Heath Ledger's performance and the seriously dated cartoon version, voiced by Mark Hamill.
Just wanted to clear that up before we went any further :p.

So let the chaos begin!

Getting down to buisness, my name is Jo and I'm typing away up here in the summerland of Scotland, where we've broken the record of a two day heatwave!. As the comedian Michael McIntyre once said, us Scots usually only get excited over light rain and snow, so you can imagine the frenzy that's occurring left and right of the country, when our temperature soars to the mid 70 degrees lol.

Moving swiftly on, the purpose I'm writing here is to use Blogger as an aid to unlock my passion for writing and expressing weird and wonderful
opinions on some things insightful and strange, as well as matters of personal interest. I'm wanting to dream big and aim high to become a writer, and that combined with my tendancy to be spontanously random, and voila! we have a very lengthy blog post :p.

Hopefully, I can ask you all to sincerely cross you're fingers, and hope that I'll actually arise one fine day and receive the motivation I need to kick start my career as a writer, which I'm thinking, is a good kick up the backside!

I'd like to use my unintended, colourful blog to convey any random ideas, incidents or interests, as well as squeezing in some movie and music reviews, which are bound to be extemeley biased most of the time :p. But if you enjoy reading and agree with this Joker, then follow me brothers & sisters and I'll try my best to keep 'y'all' entertained.

You can see more about me in my profile over there -----> somewhere :p. Feel free to drop me a message on my Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=742794277.

Peace! \/
